Spacious Home With Private Yard Close to Beach Abutting Conservation (2397)

Robert Paul Properties saved us from a horrific rental experience with another Cape Cod rental business. Mary Cornish answered our desperate plea for a last minute Cape rental right away (on a Sunday in the middle of July, no less), met with me to show me the property and got paperwork and linens squared away within 1-2 hours. She was a dream to work with, a complete professional, and such a contrast in every way from the other place we had gone with initially. Mary even brought my mother flowers when I mentioned it was her birthday the following day. The house was gorgeous, clean, and spacious with plenty of kitchen tools and cookware. The property borders conservation land and was equally as beautiful and quiet. I almost don't want to say how great this place was so we have a better chance of renting here again but it's too good not to share. We will definitely book with Robert Paul Properties and Mary again.

The Robert Paul Vacations office, with the exception of one return call, operated via text which was most discouraging and also time consuming. I left countless messages as I had questions on my rental and also was trying to get an early check-in since we knew there was no occupancy before us and so the house was ready but they told me if I wanted a noon check-in I would have to pay. I asked them to please communicate with the owner to see why I had til 4 p.m. I didn't get my answer until the mornning of our stay at which time they told me I could check in 2 p.m. once they sent me a code--I still had questions and a real human never called me and I wasn't about to start texting back and forth-Labor Day was late this year and the Cape was not all that busy--how do you operate like that? We arrived to finding a mouse in the kitchen and then it crawled up the refrigerator--so unsettling--it ran into the living area and sun room and we have no idea it went after that--the master bath had a septic smell that was very unpleasant. We reported these two things via text and again, no phone call, but a text back saying "sorry, but that is very common on Cape Cod" and I guess that meant we should expect mice??? Creepy. They sent someone over with mouse traps but seriously???? Mary Eddie who is the manager I believe and whom I only spoke to once was so disappointing--is this how someone oversees a property? UGH And very expensive for the weekend. Disappointed - will not promote or use them again and we are good networkers and we are in Bewster often. Be kind-be flexible-be understanding and pick up the phone.
