Theaters And Music Venues
The Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis brings well-known entertainers to the Cape every summer. In this covered outdoor bowl, no one sits more than 50 feet from the stage.
The Cape Playhouse in Dennis is America's oldest and most famous summer theater with alumni like Henry Fonda, Betty Davis, and Clark Gable. The vintage theatre (est. 1927) runs nostalgic musicals, comedies, dramas, and children's programs.
Harwich Junior Theater offers professionally taught classes for children in acting, set construction, sound, and dance. Their performances draw audiences of all ages.
The Monomoy Theatre in Chatham is open in the summertime and features graduate students from Ohio University performing big stage and musical hits.
Wellfleet Preservation Hall is open year round and located in the town center of Wellfleet, Massachusetts. Summer Town Band concerts are a Cape Cod tradition and can be found anywhere from gazebos to ballparks in almost every village. These outdoor performances sometimes include sing-a-longs. They draw a loyal annual local and tourist following.
