From Sheep to Sweater
Animals & Activities
Meet the Farm
From sheep to cattle, donkeys to demonstrations—the 22-acre farm comes alive with hands-on encounters.

The Sheep
Watch the flock graze across green pasture, then see how their wool becomes the sweaters you wear.

Highland Cattle
Meet the farm's distinctive long-haired cattle, patient and striking in their pastoral home.

The Donkeys
Gentle residents of the farm, ready for up-close visits and quiet moments in the paddock.

Wool Spinning
Watch hands work the wheel, transforming raw fleece into thread with centuries-old technique.

Blacksmithing
Fire and anvil, hammer and metal—traditional craft on full display at the forge.

Open-Hearth Cooking
Cast iron over wood fire, the way meals were made when the farm was young.
More Than Just Sheep
Beyond the shearing demonstrations and wool spinning, Taylor-Bray Farm opens its 22 acres for haywagon rides through the spring countryside—a slow, gentle way to see the property and meet the resident donkeys, Scottish Highland cattle, and other farm animals. Petting areas let kids and adults get close to the animals throughout the day. Refreshments are available, and the whole experience has the unhurried feel of a working farm in its element. Note: human visitors only—no dogs, please.
